My 06 2.0T uses a quart every 7K miles. I change the oil at 7500 anyway.
My 11 2.0T uses a quart every 2K miles. I had the first stage repair (new PCV valve). I've decided to live with it. It runs great.

So after all that, did prijedor ever get an oil change?

And just because I can't help myself - in Sydney, the Audi agent sells Castrol 5-30w. (VW 502 00/ 505 00). I can't check what the book says, I changed the oil, my son mumbled something I took as 'thanks dad' and I haven't seen that car since October.

Jeff968 - is your 2011 A4 oil consumption repair covered under the US class action settlement?

The real question is junius still filling his sedan with Mobil's sythetic 5w40, exclusively made for diesel cars and trucks, in his petrol engine you mean.

Keeping on truck'n junius.

Nope Dolamite, when I had my 06 b7, which I owned until 153,000 miles, I began using 5w-40 Mobil One High Mileage synthetic oil made exclusively for gasoline (or petrol) engines. This SIGNIFICANTLY decreased my oil consumption to about half a quart every oil change interval, in which I changed it every 5,000 miles. So you can keep on truck'n Dolamite....

Take a pic of the mobile1 5w40 fully synthetic that you're using and post it for all of us to see. You're beginning to change your tenses to the past.
