Can i replace a BPG (engine code) audi A4 with a BPY engine?
I Have a Audi A4 2.0T Quattro 2006 FSI engine.
It has a BPG engine.
Now I'm searching for a new engine but a little bit difficult to get a BPG engine.
Now, could someone tell me what should be the difference between the BPY and the BPG engine and if I can make this change?

I think their might be slight compression ratios and power output. Your ECU is adapted to the original engine so I think this would not suffice. If you do successfully physically swap you'll probably get error codes I'm guessing.

Ok ok Chapstick.
So you recommend me to get the BPG engine if can to avoid engine error codes.
But maybe..if I get a BPG engine.....disconnecting the ECU from hours of the old engine... put the new engine in..and connect it.... do I have to reprogram the ECU or Engine?

Same exact engine code AND built for your SAME transmission.
Different engine will require all the appropriate lock cylinders and keys as well as the right ECU. Due to the immobilizer.
