Default Comfort control module replacement

Hi all,

I've been having issues with my 2008 Audi A4. The power windows stopped working and the sunroof won't open. I ended up taking it the dealer and they diagnosed it. All fuses and wiring were checked. They then said the comfort control module wasn't returning voltage and needs replaced.

I managed to access it by pulling up the carpet and unplug and re-plug in the wires in a last attempt but that didn't work.

I would like to buy a working one online and install it myself, but if I do buy a new one I've heard certain things need reprogrammed. Can anyone offer me more information on this? And will anything else change?

Default Coding depends upon options fitted...

Each control module needs to be configured/programmed for the specific options that have been fitted to the vehicle. Link above describes the options associated with the Comfort Control Module.

Default

So the only issue would be with the keys? Or is there other stuff that would need to be fixed afterwards?

I'm just trying to figure out if its simple enough to be done myself, then maybe having a garage re-program it.

Default Immobiliser is associated with the Instrument Cluster module...
