08' A4 S-line avant owner here. I've purchased this car from a dealer last year and was hoping to change the timing belt asap. I am currently at 114,820, I am worried, as I don't want to be left stranded or worse, destroy my motor. Most of my friends are tech's at Audi (so I get a huge savings on labor/parts). What is the best method to go about this? Has anyone here used the Conti-tech pro plus kit? The conti kit is priced around $260.00 to 312.00 (compared to OEM dealer price of $1300.00, my tech got it down to 750.00; this is with the waterpump/tensioners/belt). Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
