Does a catch can kit help oil consumption issue with 08 A4
Hi there,
I have a 08 Audi A4 base and I have the issue where I need to top off with engine oil every 2500 km. I was wondering if the catch can kit would help the this particular issue. Or is there another solution.....

No, it won't. The only definitive remedy is a rebuild of piston rings.

Oil loss.
A couple of common culprits are the PCV valve is gunked up allowing excessive oil vapor to get sucked out and burned (not fully closing) or blowing out past seals (stuck closed) or the turbocharger center section is worn out and leaking oil to the compressor side (intake). Cheap and easy to change the PCV with an OEM one. I've not had much luck with aftermarket ones on 4.2 engines. And sure, it could be the rings are shot, but that is a worst case scenario.
