Hi people just got myself an older audi a4 2.0L tdi 2006 06 plate(private sale) anbd only got one key with it, guy was just using it in the door, so went and got a new battery and turned out it never had one inside at all lol, anyway the light is now flashing on the remote and the buttons dont do anything!!

googled a few things like holding the button when in ignition and removing etc and and as i got the plastic master key tried poutting that in the ingition and tuning to on so lights on the dash then using the fob in the door and pressing the buttons etc and still nothing.
really want it working have been at it for hours and hours with no luck is there anyone on here that could possibly help with this matter.
