Anyone experiencing this? 2007 2.0t quattro manual, non-sport, basically stock all around.

This loud thumping noise which comes and goes over bumps, usually like sloping type bumps as opposed to sharp speed bumps, but can be reproduced in a variety of ways. Sounds kinda like it's in the trunk, almost like there's a brick bouncing around back there. Can't find anything loose or apparently broken. Car seems to drive a hundred percent normally.

Mechanic found a broken center resonator hanger, which was causing the noise. Quick welding job and it's good as new.
