Repaired my A4's exhaust...
I've been noticing a bit of an exhaust leak lately, so I stuck my head under the car, and also noticed that the center hanger was broken off of the middle muffler..
Proceeded to have to cut the clamp bolts off, no big deal since I had a new clamp ready to go..
Discovered a pretty well rusted out V joint, not surprising especially since it was supporting much of the exhaust. Since I have a large pile of scrap tubing, I just cut some pieces and welded them on to seal up the holes.. Reattached the hanger, and was good to go. Not a bad job to do, assuming you have a welder. =)
I hate spending money on parts needlessly..
Finished.. Looks don't matter. Doesn't leak any more.
Pretty thin metal there, but still good metal to weld to everywhere else. Gotta love Audi exhaust tubing.
