Subtle knock noise when turning
Hi guys, brand new here and not a car guy so probably won't understand a word anyone types unless you 'baby' me.
Car: 2006 Audi A4 2.0T FSI S Line Special Edition
Issue: Slow speeds 10-15mph get a subtle and singular knock when turning left
Variables:
* Not sure if it's happening at higher speeds as probably can't hear it
* Seems to only happen turning left
* Can feel the knock somewhere down and to the left of driver position
* Relatively confident (with no knowledge of cars) that it's a steering issue rather than suspension as it's not when going over a bump, it's relatively like clockwork when turning the wheel
* Does not happen at standstill when turning wheel
Added pic of car as she is quite pretty :-)

Suggest checking status of CV joint/boot. Based on your other post car is up in miles so there are possibly wear related portions of your whole suspension and steering mechanisms that should be checked.

Is it a noise or feedback in the steering? I ask because I had an issue with the fluid in the steering. Check the cv boot for damage and the steering joint you can see behind the wheel. Something else I found. I changed the fluid and noticed while trying to bleed the old fluid out with new the steering developed a problem on the left turn only. It was like a click and feedback in the steering. I raised the front end and kept turning the steering lock to lock, syphoning off the return fluid and adding fresh hydraulic fluid, after about 20-30 lock to lock turns it cleared. I don't know if it was gunk caught in the steering rack or air, but this fixed the problem for the cost of 1 bottle of vag hydraulic fluid. Just my experience.
