Default What bulb is this?
Trying to replace fog light bulb in my 2006 A4 S line. This is not the expected H11 and doesn't even seem to be independently replaceable.

It looks like an HID lamp. Just like this example sold by USP Motorsports.


Can you find the ballast that drives that HID bulb? It should be close to the headlamps.

Stock fog lamp is H11 12V/55W.

It must be tucked behind the black plastic shield. Back out to pull out and see!

Pulled this stuff out. Can't just plug in H11 apparently.
