When to replace valve lifters of a B7 2.0T
We all know the B7 2.0T makes relatively loud valve lifter noise. Not a concern to me until I actually owns an A4 quattro. Here are couple questions:
1) How loud is too loud for the valve noise such that it's time to replace the lifters?
2) Is there a recommended mileage for replacing the lifters?

Regular ticking sound with the 2.0T engine is the fuel injectors in operation, not the valve lifters. That ticking sound is normal for this engine as long as it's not excessively loud.
