2009 A4 Lemon anyone? Buyback?
First timer here. I purchased a 2009 Audi A4 2.0T two and a half years ago and have gotten to the point to where Audi is putting together "buy back" options for me. Has anyone gone through this, and what can I expect?
Originally I dealt with the oil consumption test, and went through both phases and they ultimately replaced the pistons. I also had, and still have, and issue where it feels like the transmission is shuttering at around 2300 RPMS that they have now been working on several times. They replaced the fuel injector, that didn't help, they found a leak in my water pump and replaced that, that didn't help, they tried changing plugs and coils, that didn't help, now they are going to replace the head and change the timing chains. Basically, they still have no idea what is going on.
I was told that they are currently working on a buy back, and curious if you have gone through this. Thanks!!

I owned an '09 A4 which was constantly in the shop, although not for the same reasons as yours. I traded mine in on a Buick Regal Turbo - got 14.5K and the car had 75k on the odometer. I never felt better saying goodbye to a car. If you can arrange any kind of a suitable deal to get rid of yours - take it. I once owned a VW which was a lemon and they bought it back as long as I agreed to order a new one, which I did. This kind of arrangement might work for you. Good luck!
