Default 2011 A4 Concert audio bluetooth adaptor

Hi New to the forum & have just purchased a 2011 A4 with the concert audio
I have been reading the threads & struggling to find an easy solution to connecting my i phone 6 to the audio.

I did purchase a USB ami cable from eBay, but this will not recognize the iPhone when i plug the lighting cable into it?

The car has blue tooth, but phone only no audio?

Would a blue tooth adapter such as this work Add Bluetooth A2DP Streaming to your Audi - A2DP4AUDI - Audi Bluetooth Adapters
or is there a better / cheaper solution?

That cable is the wrong one - you should of gotten an Audi AMI-Lighting cable, (which they make), that probably the best choice. https://www.audiworld.com/forums/q5-...-port-2861553/

If you want Bluetooth, you could get what you see on that site, that should work from what the site says.

I believe your A4 doesn't have Streaming audio over Bluetooth, the Bluetooth is just for phone calls. I haven't seen a way to change that in the car.

My A6 came with an AMI-iPhone 30 pin cable, so I just plugged in a Apple 30pin- Lighting adapter and that works fine. It's a pain having the phone in the glovebox, so I'm getting a Bluetooth adapter at Christmas.

I'm going to try an inexpensive 30pin Blutooth adapter that plugs into my existing 30 pin AMI cable. The reviews on Amazon says it works, we'll see!

So it states that this works with Android, which I have. One question, how does this work when you are streaming music via the new bluetooth adapter in this kit, and then you want to also use the bluetooth to make or receive a call? In the factory setup, it automatically switches between music and phone.

I used the AMI to Aux cable. Then ran an Aux cable to my center arm rest storage. Used a 4 port car charger, and hooked up power to this
Amazon.com: Mpow Streambot Box Bluetooth 4.0 Audio A2DP Receiver NFC-Enabled apt-X Adapter with Stable Signal and Hight-fidelity Stereo Sound via 3.5mm & RCA audio cable: Car Electronics Amazon.com: Mpow Streambot Box Bluetooth 4.0 Audio A2DP Receiver NFC-Enabled apt-X Adapter with Stable Signal and Hight-fidelity Stereo Sound via 3.5mm & RCA audio cable: Car Electronics

. Everytime I want bluetooth audio, I just hit the power button on this box and it connects to my phone.

The audio sounds great on this.

I had one before that powered itself on every time the car started, but it did not do well with bass. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LUM4NPA

I don't like the cord going from the glove box to the center console, but it isn't a big deal. I can't see it from the drivers side.
