I think I am at the same point with my 2006 A6 C6. Unfortunately I went and replaced the fuel pump that was perfectly fine first. It is a different Fuel pump control module but same results. It was even blowing the 20A fuel pump fuse.

Too funny. My 2011 A4 Avant wasn’t running. I got it towed into the dealer. 55,000 miles, and the fuel pump is dead. I was amazed that only 5k miles past the 50k warrantee period it would start having issues - but the car is nine years old at this point?!?!
