Hello All,

Out of nowhere the wipers on my 2012 Audi A4 stopped working. I am trying to figure out if the problem is the actual wiper motor or the switch on the steering column.

My washer fluid will still shoot onto my windshield so my guess is the switch is not faulty. When I turn the wipers on there is no sound like the motor is trying to turn on. I confirmed the fuse has not blown but don't know how to diagnose the problem from here. Luckily this is a somewhat easy motor to access and replace but before I spend money on parts I want to make sure I am getting what I need.

Check for voltage at the wiper pump?

I did not check on my B8 but I know it was a common problem on the B7 with the wiper linkage assembly to seize up. This was the way audi design how the water are channel down from the windshield.

Try to manually help move the wiper when it's on... on my B7, the motor was still good but did not have enough torque to initially move the wiper.
