2015 Audi A4 European Delivery?
Does anyone here have any experience with European Delivery program? I really want to do this and get the 2015 Audi A4 since its all new design, but it seems they wont go on sale in US until next year since it got pushed back. I wonder if you can get it earlier if you pick it up in Germany?

A U.S. certified version wouldn't be available for Euro delivery any sooner than when Audi is ready to ship the model to the U.S. Then you would have to tack on the time to ship it back which would take longer than a normal factory shipment due to a more stringent customs inspection upon arrival and other factors to ship a single car. While a factory delivery and touring Europe in your new car would be a great experience, I doubt that accelerating the timing to get it to the U.S. would be one of the reasons to do so.

Bottom line, when a new series comes out in Europe, it usually isn't available as a North American version until the following year. For the ED program, Audi will only sell a U.S. version for factory delivery in Germany. (If they were to sell a Euro version, it would not pass certification for shipping to the U.S.) Therefore, if you were to do an ED delivery before the summer of 2015, you would be getting a U.S. MY2015 B8 A4 at the factory, same as what will be shipping here shortly.

The U.S. MY2015, which is still the B8 series, is in production now and first arrivals will occur in July to the U.S. If the new B9 comes out in Europe this year, it would be a MY2015 only for Euro consumption - Audi would not have the North American version until 2015 for delivery, most likely next summer here or ED as a MY2016.
