Default 2016 Audi A4 Imagined

The front lights are something I will have to get used to.

From the article:
Car illustrator Julien Jodry has digitally imagined for French magazine Auto Moto the upcoming Audi A4 (B9) set to be unveiled in the following months

Sure hope those headlights are from the preliminary design of the B9 before the rumored styling re-design that has delayed the release.

I could maybe live with the lights, but not the dashboard!

Interesting as from the front it looks like an upscale A3 except for the headlights. The grill looks a little bigger but keeps the same lines. The rear seems to be a little more rounded off. Not a bad look but not a bold change from the present line. As for the dash I think I will need to see it as I don't know if these details resemble the actual finish. So it is a wait and see but what it will do is make the present A4 a buyers market.
Now from a personal opinion the layman out in the world will know this is an Audi but not necessarily know it is a new one. Just like someone who does not keep up with cars can't tell a new A3 from a 3 or 4 year old A4. I would have liked a more dramatic evolution. My 2 cents

Guess the B8 will be a keeper.

The general blandness and acres of nothing issues aside, are we really to expect the radio in the B9 to look like a 1958 Chevrolet with its row of pushbuttons?

This looks like an expanded A3 - almost identical sheet metal. My guess is that the interior has things that pop up like the other Audi interiors. I drive all levels of Audi at work and the A3 is just not impressive at all other than its speed. The A6 and above are very nice cars. So it will be interesting to see how the A4 fits in.
On a positive note, one of the good things about Audi is that older cars still look good on the road today. They do not appear obsolete like many American cars have over the years. If I was in the market for a new car, I'd buy a 2015 A4.

Great point! i wasn't impreseed with the A3's driving dynamics or the interior. German cars do have a tendancy to have a longer model runs and age gracefully compared to Japanese manufactures. But, it does seem to be shifting a bit with the new offereings.

I'm happy with my '15 A4 P+ and know I made the right decision.

The A4 and A3 are completely different platforms so it is not like Audi is "stretching" the A3 as I read the OP's statement to imply. If I mis-understood, sorry.
