Default New Audi purchase question

I am interested in purchasing a new Audi and also considering some other makes. The concern I have about Audi is that the closest dealer is over an hour away (I live in Pensacola, FL and Audi dealer is in Mobile, AL). Should this distance factor disqualify Audi as an option for me or do I have service options for my new Audi other than an Audi dealer?

S64, welcome aboard.

You could service the car or a local shop could service the assuming a basic understanding of the product.

However, for warranty issues, do you want to be forced to drive that far? I know when I buy a car the servicing dealer and their capabilities certainly have an influence on my decision.

Yeah, the warranty issue is my chief concern, after all, warranty work can only be done at the dealer correct?

FWIW my Audi dealer is almost 1.5 hrs away. I live in a rural area and there weren't any other closer alternatives anyway so the decision was easier than yours. My dealer provides free coffee and snacks, free wireless and free loaners. Sometimes I go shopping while I wait. I think I can live with it.

How close is your closest dealer that sells a car you would be happy with?

Yes you should always have warranty work done at the Audi dealer. I also have their service agreement which seemed like an OK deal so I am committed to the dealer.
