Default A4 or A5?

I asked about this car yesterday and I was told there were some problems with it that may cost me a lot later on in life. This ones a MANUAL.

Yorktown, VA 2011 Audi A4 2.0T Premium Quattro Used Sedan Williamsburg, VA Hampton, VA Auto Haus | 5989 | WAUHFAFL0BN032507

However, I came across this 2012 AUTOMATIC A5. Now, I really want a manual but I have these two options, without any side talk someone just tell me what car is better and what I should spend my money on. Because I'm clueless. Here's the 2012 model:

looks like the A5 is sold. since you have self-admitted that you are clueless when it comes to buying an Audi (don't worry - you are not alone - the headlights alone will do it to people), may I suggest that you restrict your search to Audi Certified cars so that you are at least well covered for problems up to 100k miles? best source: Used Cars, New Cars, Reviews, Photos and Opinions - CarGurus enter model and then you can look by all kinds of criteria. also remember that if you are not trading, you can buy an A4 anywhere and have it shipped. many dealers will include that in the price.

If the A4 is just Premium, it's a bare-bone config, no LED DRLs, no sport package most likely. As much as I love manuals, I wouldn't buy that. Wouldn't buy the A5 for the automatic either.

Thank you! And I guess I'll learn more once I get it, but again thank you (:
