A4 B8 235/45/R17 vs 225/50/R17 Tyres
Hello,
I have 235/45/17 Tyres on my A4 2.0TDI B8 2009.
My car dealership says that 235/45/17 is a wrong tyre selection for my car and they recommended 225/50/17.
Should l change my tyre size ? is 235/45/17 fit for my car or 225/50/17 better ? What are your thoughts ?

When it's time to replace them, 225/50-17 is the correct choice. 235/45-17 is some 2% smaller but I wouldn't throw away good tyres for it. Your speedometer will show some 4% too high (instead of typically 2%) and ground clearance is reduced about 7mm. (So about the same as thread depth of new tyres.)
