Thank you @newmoon, it helps to understand what is going on internally. I've isolated the problem to the suspension motion (bobbing up and down) and the interior air pressure.

I've seen a big drop in the sick feeling with the windows all cracked open. I have also switched on the internal circulation switch for the A/C. It helps for driving to work, but on the weekends the girlfriend likes the windows up, so I feel a little woozy after trips. It's lessening so I'm hopeful that I can get past it and enjoy my A4.

How interesting that my autoimmune disease has begun precisely on the day that I purchased the car. Any other cheery things I should look into?
