Default Adaptive Transmission

Can anyone instruct me on how to "reset" the adaptive transmission on a '14 A4 2.0T Quattro?

Thanks!

I haven't done it myself but with VCDS (VAG-COM) I noticed a lot of adapted values in the Transmission control module (S-Tronic). This seems to be the procedure:

Thanks. I hear there is a way to do it manually without Vag-Com. Something with key ignition and gas pedal. Have read about it but want to make sure there's a right way to do it before I attempt.

fter completing the successful "reset" the other day, there was definitely a difference. I felt the power and torque in the car it was was noticeably much smoother and shifting correctly. It felt like a brand new car. Now it is back to the way it was again and clearly not shifting the way it is supposed to. I tried the reset again with no luck this time. Driving me crazy. Not sure what the heck is going on.

To reset de gearbox without VCDS you have to turn of the engine, turn the car to the on position witjout starting the engine and pressing the gas pedal for 30 seconds. You can here the computer reseting on the engine bay. This makes a huge difference on my Audi 4 B8. I do this once a week and the car runs great.
I hate the adaptive ptransmission. It is terrible.
