I never opted for the better MMI/Navigation unit on my car. I never needed it, however it would be nice to upgrade the top screen to some type of aftermarket touch screen, with built in bluetooth support for music and specifically support Android Auto.

anyone heard of this? i really would like to keep the stock head unit. just simply replace the top screen with something more modern... along the lines of this:

has anyone found something useful? I'd even remove the stupid ipod only type MMI unit in the glove box.

no, I did not. I was hoping CES delivered something. I have not spent as much time yet, but once I find something I will post (if i do).
