Any Advice?
Well it's finally happened! I managed to get my hands on 2009 A4 Prestige Quattro and I'm very excited to own it. I am a new Audi owner and need some tips on owning one, such as maintenance or anything else I should know about the car. heres a pic of it

I have a 2009 that I bought in 2009 and I am still on my second quart of oil...
You should change the oil every 5000 miles or every 6 months which ever comes first...

How does changing the oil more often than the factory engineers specify help? Set aside the few people who use their car as a taxi or in severe climates there is no reason to replace the oil any sooner than 10K/1 yr. The wear component of the oil is the additive package in the oil. It is good for a year after being subjected to the products of combustion. The oil specified by VW is actually better stuff than most synthetics sold by any maker. Mobil 1 that satisfies VW 502 has about 50% more additive than most other Mobil products. A lab like Blackstone is the only way to tell if your oil's additives are consumed. Anything else is just nonsense. You cannot look at the color, feel the oil, or smell it to determine it is time to change.
Some guys report better "peace of mind" by changing early. Even if you change your own oil, how is spending $40 twice as often giving you peace?
