I just installed a similar mount from pro clips. I'm wondering what you did with your power cable to the console? It appears you were able to hide it and am wondering what you did to do so.

I use a bean bag and a Nuvi in the Audi. I just put it on the floor of the passenger seat when not in use. The cable runs along the right side of the console, and plugs in the rear of the console. The outlet in the cubbyhole is for my phone.

Maps and traffic all comes from Navtec, no matter what brand name is on the unit. The traffic is automated, and because of the slow hands at the highway patrol it does not get updated in a useful manner.

For Los Angeles, however, you are in luck. Use a smart phone and a website called Sigalert.com. They have useful current traffic data.

Just bought a 2012 A4 Premium Plus...thought I'd share some picture of my Garmin 3490lmt which I mounted using the Proclip/Brodit Vent mount...works really well...its hardwired with the power cable running into the lcd fascia...the mount can be possible anywhere along the center vent ducts...I preffered the right side with a driver side angle for better viewing...enjoy the pictures...

A few word on the Garmin 3490lmt...absolutely love it...live traffic with camera views from the DOT...live weather with radar overlay...fuel prices etc...on the pricey side but worth it...

I have a Garmin Nuvi 755T (was a cheap unit from Costco a couple years ago). It works great and I did the same thing an earlier poster did, just mounted the round disc on the far right "shelf" in front of the MMI and then run the cable down the right side of the console and it's never in the way and only blocks the view of the far-far right of the MMI which I don't need to see anyway.
