Checking in with 2013 A4 Quattro Prestige Moonlight Blue
Hello B8 Platform members!
We just added another Audi to our family on top of 06 A6 Quattro 3.2L. It is 13 A4 Quattro Prestige with Moonlight Blue and 27000 miles on it.
I had to fly to a dealer to get it (no shipping for the first time buyer at the dealership) and drove more than thousand miles yesterday and today.
I am tired for sure, but it was well worth it.
It was such a joy to drive this car!
It drove rock solid without any hint of vibration on the steering wheel.
Engine noise was surprisingly little to be heard. ZF 8 speed transmission shifted so smooth, and I hardly felt any shift bump. Road noise was pretty muted considering that this non-Audi dealer put on Kumho Ecsta 4X on it. So it was a surprise to see brand new tires on it. And I was impressed how well the Kumho absorbed road bumps considering 19 inch rims on this car.
Even more pleasant surprise was there when I was on the highway for the first time and hit the cruise set button. It had the adaptive cruise control
With a big grin on my face and fumbling around MMI, I found the drive select menu.
For the long drive, the adaptive cruise control was a heaven-sent.
I absolutely like it!
Alcantara upholstery, lumbar support, and thigh support was great for long drive.
I don't know if there is a degradation on music quality, but Bluetooth music play was very convenient for a passenger point of view. That was one of reason I was looking for 2013 rather than 2012 A4.
This one is really loaded!

Thanks everyone.
I know I need to put some pictures but don't have any good one yet.
Here is one for record.
Will get some more later when weather gets better or gets worse and snows

Adaptive cruise control
Adaptive cruise control is a wonderful option that I wish I had on my current Audi. I had it on my 2 Infiniti's, but they make it a reasonable charge as part of a technology package. Audi wants too much for the option, so I did not order it on my current 2011 Avant Prestige.
Great looking car!

Got the Hartmann HS5 19X8.5 ET38 along with new Continental Extreme Contact DWS06 for winter. Kumho Ecsta was horrible in snow.
Harman HS5 and DWS06 combination was 5 lb lighter than Peeler and Kumho Ecsta (I measured). DWS06 was 4 lb lighter than Kumho per specification.
HS5 was ET38 vs ET43 for Peeler, and it sticks out more than I want. I installed mud flap in the front to reduce splash. I am thinking about installing DWS06 on Peelers for winter and Kumho to HS5 for spring and summer.
