Default :: ECS Tuning :: NEW!! B8 A4 ECS Street Shield Aluminum Skid Plate

The belly pans fitted to modern Audis have always appeared to be under-engineered, out of place, cost-cutting parts. Many enthusiasts have chosen to run their cars without the protective cover entirely. This decision, however, ignores the unfortunate reality that the belly pan protects several critical engine & drivetrain components.

ECS has a much more sensible solution – The Street Shield Skid Plate features corrosion resistant, 4mm thick 5052 aluminum, with included steel hardware, offering complete engine undercarriage protection weighing in at only 11.5 lbs.

Has anyone tried this? I'm missing the belly pan on my car.

We have a couple S4 customers using our skid plate and have been very happy with it.

It's even installed on our shop S4 and A4 being used to this day.

I installed this plate this weekend. It went in fairly easily. Would be nice to get the page with the expander/crimper instructions in the packaging. I found it on the product page after starting the install. Not a big deal.

And the plastic half turn screws that go on the wings are not that great. I couldn't get them to stay secured. Ended up getting some 1/4-20 bolts and washers to tighten them down. I'd recommend looking into different hardware to secure the wings to the fender liners.
