grundge in gas fill area

grundge in gas fill area
Have a 2013 a4. Does anyone else get a bunch of dirt and grundge in the gas fill area. Had to clean it out the drain in the bottom was blocked. The car sits outside in fl but never had this up north in pa. Suggestions for cleaning.
