Default Late 2012 A4 Avant - update

I bought a late arriving '12 A4 Avant in Feb 2012 - my second Avant ( former was an '08).
After this date they basically stopped production and transitioned into the allroad - I had one of the last of these as well when based on the A6.

Its a pretty loaded Premium Plus with the Sports package, Bang and Olly, Advanced Key, walnut trim, 10 spoke 18"s.

Mileage driven has been tempered the last 18 months since retiring and moving to Savannah.
We just turned 32,000 miles today.

No problems - no oil consumption, no mechanicals, original tires but looking to put new rubber on in a month or so.

A minor fender bender last Feb. damaged my left front and broke a xenon headlight but the body shop did a great job and you would never know.

This is my first automatic tran Audi and I do miss shifting - it wouldn't be hard around here now with no commuting and far less traffic than the NY metro area.
Even the A6 allroad we had was a rare manual.
I must say the 8 speed auto on this car is nice and I paddle shift occasionally.

We just did a 370 mile round trip between Fri and today.
Great drive between SAV and Myrtle Beach passing through Charleston - wife drove north; I drove south.
Smooth and easy; 31.8 mpg ( no bike rack on top); lots of 2 lane (state highway 17) kept the average speed right at 60 in spite of the I 95 time at near 80.

I hope the next generation B is as good as the B8, 7 and 6 ( had an A4 sedan) have been.

You're in Savannah? Are you a member of Audi Club of Georgia? We just had a driving event last weekend on the Cherohala Skyway. The quarterly club meeting is coming up as well a pool party and "Helenback" in August. I'm tired of being one of only a handful of Avants at these meets. Please join us!

I'm in Athens, so I feel (some of) your pain when most of the club events are closer to Atlanta. We had a meet-and-greet at the Hilton Head Audi dealer last year, and I know there are HPDE's at Roebling Rd. Anyway, the best roads are in the North GA, TN, and NC mountains anyway. You should try to make it out to Helenback this year:
