Hey there, I got into an accident about half a year ago that took my front license plate off. I just didn't bother to get a new one until I realized a few weeks ago that they issue $75 parking tickets in CO for no front license plate. So I got one, but now I'm having trouble attaching it as it won't screw in. Looks like the bumper that they replaced doesn't have the same screw holes as before. Just looking for someone to point me in the right direction on how to make it work. Can I just drill holes in the two at the top? Or do I need another piece to put on? I've attached pictures for reference.

You just drill into it. Only the second gen A3 and first gen Q7 have holes already there for US plates.

I have the same holder on my B8. The holes don't line up with US plates so the dealer just attached the plate with two sheet metal screws. They cut their own holes and hold the plate very securely.
