I went to the car wash today. I was looking over my car and noticed the cap that covers the tow hook is missing. I can only assume it happened at the car wash. I will call them tomorrow to see if it was recovered.

Anyone know the best place to get a painted replacement cover?

I don't believe they come pre-painted. If you end up replacing it, you'll probably have to get it painted to match at a body shop.

I called today and the guy found what looks like my cover. He sent me a pic. It's pretty beat up, but he said they will reimburse me whatever the cost is for a replacement

Get a couple of years of complementary car washes and buy a eBay cover.

I couldn't be bothered with buying the part then taking it to be painted. I just made a call to my local Audi, ordered it, and picked it up. They were nice enough to put it on for me. Then I went to the car wash and they gave me the option to give me the money or 6 mo car washes. I took the car washes.

How much did it cost? At some point the cover on my A3 disappeared and I've been meaning to do something about it. Thanks.

It was about $84 painted. Approx. half for the part and half for the the paint.
