Default Which manufacturer makes a high quality wheel bearing for Audi?

I'm looking at Bech/Arnley, Timken, SKF, ***, MOOG etc. Some idiot talked me in to purchasing Centric and it lasted almost 30k miles.

I just bought *** from FCP Euro. Don't have personal experience but heard good things about *** and SKF.
BTW, I am looking for a DIY on replacing these on my A4B8 Quattro Base. Can u help with how to remove and press new one in? What tools will I need?

Pressing the bearing out of the assembly then pressing a new bearing back in is by far the most difficult part of replacing the wheel bearing. You will need a nice press and must make sure all is square for the re-pressing. As a DIY you should purchase full assembly with bearing already in place. Costs run $100-$150. I've had good luck with *** and Optimal on my '08 TT 3.2.

What you suggested is what I exactly wanted to proceed with and in fact I ordered part #8K0407607 (hub+bearing) from Audi. Unfortunately, they don't make it anymore and have cancelled my order. Also talked with few Audi parts vendors and none of them have any ***/SKF etc assembly available for this car! Now, I have no choice but to order bearings and remove/press them myself. I was looking at some tool kits from ECS that will allow me to do it but wanted opinion of experienced people here first.

If you're looking at ECS, they press the bearing in to the housing for a total cost around $138. Although they do not list the manufacturer of the bearing. I found full assembly at urotuning.com with SKF bearing for front of A4 B7 $113.

Negative, no such thing for B8
*** bearings on the way. Really need a good guide for removal/pressing of bearings.

Are you sure its an assembly? The pic in your link only shows the bearings (not pressed in a hub). The pic is same as the one I ordered from FCP euro but the part number is different.

It looks to me like you did order the bearing already pressed in to the housing... and got a great price too. Please let me know if I'm mistaken. Best

Nope! I'm wrong. Which means I bought the wrong bearing this morning!
