Map light Issue

Map light Issue
Hello all, I just replaced my entire cars interior lighting to LED. All of the bulbs are working fine except I have had a slight hiccup with the map lights. One of the map lights work but the other does not. I have flipped the led 180 degrees and also tried several different ones. None of these work. I tried the other connector from the other side and it works if the connections touch the top of the socket but once plugged in it does not. I tried the same with its original plug in and it does not work when touching metal to the copper ring. Also, when I place the halogen bulb back into the socket it works just fine. Does anyone have an idea of what may be causing this, or how to fix the issue?

old post, but i'm making this reply because after a decent google search this was where i kept ending up. nobody seemed to ever answer folk's questions. i just had this issue and solved it.
the error is in the design of said LED bulb. some will ship with the prongs facing one, some another. you have to align them with the stock bulb. i noticed mine were opposite. this won't matter for the large map light or the rear dome but it does for the front, for some reason.
after changing the direction of the prongs, i was in business. hope this helps you or others.
