MY15 A4 B8 S line Sports Plus Auto Quattro problems
Hi,
I purchased a new MY15 Audi A4 B8 in February 2016 from Audi Centre Brisbane.
I have been noticing some issues with the car and was wondering if anyone else has had the same or similar issues with their A4.
The first thing I have noticed is the car using oil. Considering the car has only done 5400km I am concerned that the MMI shows it has dropped approx one quarter.
The second problem is the car shudders for the first 5-10 min of driving after the car has sat idle and not driven for 2 or 3 days. (The whole car shudders!)
Thirdly, when the car is not up to operating temp, it produces some sort of hesitation including a thump in the transmission which is felt through the floor of the car when you take your foot off the accelerator. This seems to disappear after a period of time but normally after it gets to the normal operating temp.
The car has been booked into Audi for inspection and to check my concerns in a weeks time.
If anyone has experienced the same problems and can provide some feedback it would be nice.

Oil consumption is normal. You actually have the B8.5 which has an updated engine - the B8 had a notorious oil drinking problem. My 2014 takes about 1 quart of oil over 10k miles - so you're right in line with me.
The shuddering could be a bad PCV valve which has been plaguing these cars. It's a very quick fix for the dealer. I had a similar problem, except my car did throw a CEL.
Can't speak to the thump. Hey, at least you're under warranty!

my b8 is going through oil about 1qt/1k miles, im far out of warranty and bought it used but yes, its a standard thing for these.
my pcv valve went bad a few months into owning it and also had caused a cylinder 1 misfire. during that time the entire car shook real badly. replaced coil packs with redtops from ecs and the pcv i got from them aswell.
cant speak for the 8.5s but ive read of a software update on the b8s pertaining to the transmission 'clunkiness' deal
