Default New Brakes & PCV Valve

Hey guys,
I recently purchased a Audi A4 2011 from a dealer. 3 weeks later, my check engine light came on. and there is a whistling sound coming from my engine.
I took it to a mechanic, and he informed me that all 4 brakes are going bad, need a new tire and my PCV valve needs to be replaced. and he's quoting me for $1,300:
$1000 the change all for breaks (idk exactly what he is changing)
$100 for a new tire
$300 for replace PCV valve.
I just want to know if i am getting over charged, I feel like paying $1000 for break is extremely expensive.

Any comments would be helpful!

(A part of me wants to return it. but i remember when i was purchasing the car it was sold as is) I need some advice..

thank you.

All 4 brake rotors and pads: $1000 isn't out of the ordinary.
$100 new tire: that's a cheap tire!
$300 PCV: I think the part is $100, and would take you 15 minutes to swap yourself.

Sounds like typical maintenance for a 5 year old car.

Edit: it's an Audi. This stuff ain't ever going to be Toyota cheap.

1st I would take the car back to where you bought it . I assume a dealer and if so they should have inspected it before they sold it. If it had bad brakes then tell them to fix it. The tire also needed to pass inspection so they would need to replace it. As for the PCV valve ask why it needed to be replaced. If you bought this as a "as is" private deal you are hosed.
