Phillips X-treme Ultinon LED Fog Light Lamps
I wanted to upgrade the OEM halogen lamps to better match the headlights. I spent a good bit of time researching the the Phillips Ultinon lamps, but couldn't find much information on them. I also considered the Piaa, V-LED and other brands but wasn't impressed with their desgin or turned off by the their hefty price. I took a leap of faith and pulled the trigger on the Phillips X-treme Ultinon LED fog light lamps at $150 bucks they aren't cheap and have less lumens, but compared to the Piaa's at $300 they're a bargain and have a longer warranty.
I had the following goals in mind:
-Get as close as possible to the cool white/blue OEM LED DRL headlight color.
-Avoid the 'coated" bulbs like the Ziza or Silverstar options that not only produce less light, but IMO cheapen the look of the foglight lens.
-Avoid LED lamps with external fans or HID's.
-Produce similar or better light output than stock.
-Avoid throwing any codes.
I acomplished all of them and very happy with the results. Keep in mind I'm not a proffesional photographer and tried to capture the most accurate comparison by playing with the ISO. As a side note, I didn't photoshop or edit the photos in anyway. Enjoy!

Thanks! I wasn't impressed with the ECS/Zizza bulbs so I went with my trusty VLED Flank bulbs in 6k. Much brighter than the Zizza bulbs. The OEM housings have poor light output so I needed to do something.
Also, my garage floor is epoxy coated so the LED's really pop.

Those LEDs look nice. Did they make the glass housing hot to the touch? Hot enough that it would crack if they were used as DRL and water got splashed on them after being on for a while? I plan on setting my fogs as DRL. Thanks

Phillips LED's are a bit pricy but are a great option.

The fog lights are Phillips. Install was super easy.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

Fog bulb type
Hi!
Can you please tell me what kind of bulb you used for your fog lights?
I know they are LEDs and all but I want to know if they are H8 or H11 or something else?
Thanks in advance, hope to hear from you.
