Price difference - APR K04 Kit vs CTS K04 Kit
Forgive me, because I'm sure this has been discussed before, but after reading through most of the previous K04 threads without finding an answer I think a new thread is okay.
Car: 2012 6sp. Only mods (thus far) are APR stage 1.
I'm looking into doing the K04 upgrade sometime in the next 4-6 weeks and am currently figuring out what parts I need.
Initially my plan for supporting modifications only include new spark plugs and a HFC (and the K04 kit, of course). From what I've read, full exhaust / new IC / intake are nice additions but not absolutely necessary for the upgrade, so with that in mind I'll add them as time and money allows.
I'm currently confused as to why the CTS kit is ~$2,700 while the APR kit if ~$3,500. CTS allows you to add a $120 HFC, or perhaps a better option would be the 034 HFC. If I got the CTS kit, there'd be a $150 upgrade cost from APR for the new software as an existing customer, and one not using their currently unavailable hfc/downpipe. This brings the total for CTS (with APR software) to ~$3,000 plus some $$ for the tools I'll need to do the install.
What am I missing here that leaves the APR kit sitting at $500 more? Until I looked at the pricing difference I was pretty confident I had all the needed parts laid out, but I feel like I'm missing something now. Does the APR kit come with the HFC / downpipe? That's really the only way I've been able to explain the price difference.
Thanks for any information you can provide, if somebody has a link for a thread with this information, please feel free to pass it along and delete this one.

You sure about that? That's the price for switching from Stg 1 to Stg 2. From what I can see, it's $500 to go from Stg 1 to K04 software (and the way it's worded, that requires an APR K04, though I doubt that's really enforced).

For existing APR customers I've seen prices ranging from $150 - $750 for the software, though it does seem like the $150 was from longer ago than I originally realized.
Thanks for the response, seems I need to do some more research.
