I am attempting to retrofit facelift (B8.5) LED tail lamps from a 2014 U.S. Allroad on my 2009 U.S. A4 Avant. I have acquired what is supposed to be the correct wiring kit from Kufatec (Item 38910-2, for Standard Pre-Facelift -> Facelift LED US Version). However, it appears that the 5-PIN plug for the inner tail lamp lenses (that go in the liftgate or trunk lid) are not the same type as the connector on the back of my 2014 US Allroad tail lamps.

Here is what the back of the facelifted Allroad LED tail lamps look like, showing the factory connector with 5 pins.







Here is what the Kufatec 5-pin adapter with plug looks like:











It's supposed to plug into the back of the tail lamp housing here:



But as you can see, the 2 connectors are completely different.







Has anyone else encountered this problem retrofitting facelift LED tail lamps to B8 cars? Did I receive the wrong wiring kit?

I consulted hk5ykw's thread about retrofitting Euro LED tail lamps, and it appears the connectors in the back of his Euro LED tail lamps are different than my US ones.

Assuming my US Allroad tail lamps are correct, my Kufatec kit should have come with different 5-pin plugs, right? (Or at least another intermediate adapter to go between?) Or am I supposed to buy one of the Audi connectors listed in hk5ykw's thread?

just in case. i have some 2009 led lamps I can sell you. if those will fit on your car and you want them.
