Question about my 09 Audi A4 2.0t sound in car, brakes and rotors.
Good evening! This is my first post. A friend of mine drove my car and said that all 4 rotors may be bad because they have a small lip all around but the rotor but all its self look in good shape all around inside, not rusted, smooth circler shine. It seems that all the rotors on the car have a little pultruding lip around the circumference of the rotors. He also mention small bumping noise when riding that may sound like a bent rim, wheel bearing or tire. My tires look fine and I never noticed any noticeable sound but the AWE dual exhaust. Lastly, he said that my brakes shouldn't stop so instantly, almost said they are sensitive, stop to quick but, i like that feeling. Any suggestions or comments will help. I can send pictures over also.

How many miles does the car have?
Rotors wear down over time. You'll get a small lip on the outside. They're pretty cheap to replace.
My wife thinks my A4 brakes way too hard. Her Benz feel like stepping on a wet muffin. That's just how Audi does it.

What does your friend drive? Maybe take a ride in his car and say something smells like it's burning. . Or you saw some blue smoke come out from hide haunt when you were behind him.
Pedal feel may be a bit touchy compared to other vehicles. If you're truly in doubt visit the dealership for a quick check. It'll be free if the car is still under warranty.

hahahahahah. right. You guys know one of those jealous types who will drive your car and make some stuff up. He drives a 2004 f150. My audi has 86,000 miles on it. I actually like the way my car stops, makes me feel like my car is stopping the way it should.

Is that the rare, and often fatal, source of smoke - the 'hide haunt'.

Not to be confused with 'pulchritude', I'd imagine.
