Hi all, I have a 2010 A4 and the rear collision sensor (you know the one that beeps when you're too close to an object) stopped bleeping few weeks ago. I suspect the cable is loose. Does anyone know where the cable is? There is a compartment on the right side of my trunk that has many fuses and cables. However I can't figure out which one is it.

Btw, when in reverse my backup cameras work. Basically just no beeping. Thanks in advance.

Touch lightly on the surface of the sensors while in reverse. When working you can feel the pulsing. Another way to start isolating the problem will be to read out error codes and check the measured values using VCDS (VAG-Com). The control box is beside the fuse boxes in the trunk. Part nr should be 8K0 919 475 with a revision letter at the end (for different capabilities).

Note: A sensor that doesn't pulse is not necessarily broken. It is not unusual that a sensor fails, but on my previous car (with intermittently failing function) I had to replace the control module.

You need to understand that sensors don't beep. If sensors work fine but the beeper doesn't beep, you will not hear any thing. Don't try anything until you scan for fault code first.
