Replace spark plugs every 40K?
Hi all, I have a 2010 A4 B8. The service manual says to replace spark plugs every 40K miles or 3 years whichever comes first. I would like to know if that's typical of Audi? My experience with other cars is that they usually last 100K. Thanks.

Yes. Turbo engine, higher pressure and heat in combustion, plugs take more wear and tear. It's a very easy DIY!

Isn't the change interval 35k miles for the 2.0T engine?

Thanks!
I did mine at 25k. Changed from Bosch to NGK.
It does seem to be a very short interval. I looked at the VW Tiguan (2.0T) engine and the first plug swap doesn't happen until 60k miles.

FYI my kid had a 2007 and a 2009 A4 and both cars were traded in at mid 60K miles . Neither car ever had a plug or coil change . No change in performance or MPG through the years owned. It would be interesting to see what the plugs looked like after 35K miles.
