reset oil service indicator

Default reset oil service indicator

how do i reset the oil service indicator/counter? i just changed my oil today and that thing wont go away

you have to do it through the mmi first press the car button scroll down to reset the oil interval.

I don't believe you can reset the Service reminder in the MMI which is different than the oil change reminder, yes/no?

i can only see the oil service time/indicator in the MMI or in the drivers info screen. it wont let me reset it.

Just as I said in my post above. Only the dealer can reset it (or perhaps it can be done with a Vag-Com)?

yepper i did vag-com the car to get that option cost me around 75 to 90 bucks for that cable, but you could do alot things to the car with it pays for itself in the long run.

which vag com do i get for this? and will that same vag com let me do the speedometer needle swipe and stuff?

here is the link to the one that i got http://www.uobd2.com/products/Product.asp?ID=1487 just remember to used the software they give you do not download rosstech newest software it will not work and yes you can do all the extra stuff like needle sweep, windows auto down and up with sunroof through keyfob, leds on when turn signal is on, reset your oil/interval service through mmi and alot of other stuff.

When i turn my 2005 A6 on, SERVICE! is displayed on the red LED screen between the speedometer and tachometer. Do i need VAG-COM to remove this message? what is VAG-COM? What is the CD that comes with the cable for, is it a windows program used to interface with the AUDI settings?
