Default Those of you with an oil catch can - care to post your review/thoughts?

Over the weekend, I bought a '13 A4 with 35k on the clock that JUST had carbon cleaning done on it. So, in the interest of reducing the amount of future buildup, I'd like to invest in a catch can.

So far I've seen the ones from ECS, CTS Turbo and 42DD but wondering if anyone has any other recommendations and can provide their thoughts if they have one.

I am sure this would be useful for others who are looking to invest in one as well.

Thanks!

Not sure if you are aware but our catch can is unique in the way that it still utilizes the factory pcv rather than deleting it like other kits on the market. This means blow-by gases are filtered twice once by the factory system and again with our catch can. This gives you the most air / oil separation as possible which leads to less carbon deposits.

I actually was not aware of that! Good to know; certainly a plus.

Thanks for this comment Jason. After reading the installation manual in detail before buying one, it looks like the supply line runs slightly uphill ....what keeps oil from simply puddling in the low point of the supply line before getting to the catch can?

The oil in the blow-by vapor is still in suspension. Meaning there is no liquid oil traveling through the line. It is only removed from suspension in the catch can.
