Default Tire advice

Hello All,

I know this topic is rather subjective but would like to know everyone's experiences. I am currently looking for a new set of tires for my '12 audi a4.
In this order is what I am looking in a great set of tires (1. very smooth 2. very quiet 3. handling)

I could be wrong but from I understand for those qualities I need all-touring? But anyway I would appreciate anyone's experiences.

Thanks

Tirerack has a good description of the various categories. If you are looking for a summer tire, then yes, the Grand Touring Summer category is where you should shop. You can filter down the categories to see what's available for your car. Tirerack in general is a good source for tires and tire information.

When I had 17" tires I went from the P6 to Continental DWS. They hit all your requirements.

I know there is always a big debate with tires and running summers and winters separately. I recently got new wheels and live where there is plenty of snow on the ground. I put continental dws 06 on my wheels and so far they are great. Handle well with a decent amount of snow on the ground, corner well and are quiet on the highway. Next year I will probably put winters on my stock and eventually put summers on my current wheels.
