Hey guys,

I've seen this topic discussed before, and I've tried searching but can't seem to find the precise answer I need (unless I overlooked it).

In short, I want to upgrade my suspension on my 2010 to the factory sport suspension, and need some spring help. I acquired a set of OEM sport springs (deal too good to pass up) and need to know if they are going to work right with my car's weight codes. If not, I'll just re-sell them, NBD.

Codes on my car are:
OYJ: weight range 9
OJF: Front axel category range 6

Colors on my springs are:
Pink, Pink, Purple (or maybe purple, purple , pink)

Green, Grey, White, White

If someone could help me out and let me know that these aren't actually going to lift the car up at all bc of wrong weight class, that would be very helpful.

Purple isn't represented so I'm thinking you have this color combo:
violet
pink
pink
This is a strange one since the same part number has 2 different ratings. The part number for that color band of springs is 8K0-411-105-EA. But in the up to 02/2009 A4 car it is 0JE for weight range 5. For the 02/2009 and later car that same p/n spring is used for 0JG and that group is range 7. 1BL applies to both before and after prod dates and 1BL is for electronic control damping.

The rear one has options also:
green, grey, white and white:
8K0-511-115-GT for 1BE=sports susp and for 0YH range 8
8K0-511-115-GS for 2/11/2009 and up 1BL electronically regulated shock absorber 0YJ range 9
8K0-511-115-GT for 2/11/2009 and up 1BL elec reg shock absorber 0YK range 10

I don't have listings to show what the range numbers equate to for weight ratings either. On some listings in etka they do list those figures, not on this one. If you need, I can bounce around in etka with a part number and see if I can find a catalog where they do list weight ratings for a certain part number spring.

That would be great Jeff. Like I said I wouldn't want to put these springs in only to find out that they either didn't lower the body at all or they actually made the body higher. It's very frustrating trying to figure these damn codes out.

Makes me want to just get the h & r springs, but I'd like to avoid it as I offer to remain somewhat oem

I have violet pink pink on the front springs of my 2011 A4 Avant with 18" sport package. I'm not sure about the rear springs. Maybe I'll get the back wheels off next weekend.

The ranges aren't listed in Etka unless I went back to 04 year range A4's, and then it was just the rears listed with OYK giving a pounds per square inch rating but not for the 1BL series springs. So nothing was matching up, incorrect information for you car. Etka wasn't much help on that.
