Can someone please confirm whether the ambient lighting is always on while driving, even during daylight? My car was at the dealership for one night, and now the ambient lighting turns on only when I turn on the headlights or entering/leaving the vehicle. I could swear that they were always on while driving, but of course I could be wrong! Thanks.

I've never noticed ambient lighting during the day... thought I dunno what would be ambient about light in sunlight...

It works only when the headlights are on. The red light on the doors light up when you start the car.

A different question on Ambient lighting: I just took delivery of an SQ5 Prestige and was wondering if ambient is included and, if so, how to turn it on. Miss it (both A6 Avants that I owned had it). Found a thread from a few years back and was not sure if it applied to more current model years.

When the bang and Olufsen light strip is on the ambient lights are on, if you toggle headlights on and off you can see where they are on.
