Default Audi Connect...

Seems like every time I send a new location to the Audi via the MMI phone app, I have to log into the car Audi connect with my password to access the downloaded destination. Log on is with the Audi ID number. It is a long, maybe 8 digit number and a PIA to enter it all the time. Is there something that I am missing so that I do not have to sign on in the car every time? Thanks!

That sucks. Wish I could help, but I haven't experienced that.

I have the same issue with my A6. I've talked to the Audi tech people and they are aware of this (with the A6 anyway) hope to have a fix. No timetable given. I agree, it is a pain. They said it applied to 2016 and newer A6's, but I guess it's more than that.

Yeah, it applies to the 2017 A4 as well. I just get frustrated and just end up using the Apple Maps.

This implementation is of the stupidest things on the MMI. What is so private on the MMI that someone would want to steal.

I even asked the tech people if that computer generated 8 digit PIN could be reset to something shorter and familiar to the user - Nope.

I only had to enter that number once - when I first got the car (& my Q7). Now, when I go to bring up a destination that I've entered with the MMI app (iOS), it brings up my user name & all I have to do select that with the control wheel & select it. Brings up all the destinations I've sent to the car.
Are you sure your dealer properly set up & activated your "My Audi" account when you took delivery?

My car has worked great (2 months) until the last week. I went last week to pull up my Audi contacts and it asked me to login. I did login and it worked for a day or so and then prompted me to input it again. It did this yesterday and is still working now. I'm just worried that when I get in the car tomorrow it will glitch again.

Is this a subscription service from Audi? How much does it cost per month if it is?

$199/6 months or $750 for 30 months, both including 6GB of WiFi hotspot data, more data can be purchased separated for additional $$$

The 30 month agreement comes out to $25 a month. Again, for me that is pretty reasonable. And paying it up front rather than monthly is the way I prefer to do it, same as when I bought the car. I sure understand if it just doesn't work out as well for anyone else, I'm just saying it works well for me and I enjoy the services. I'm not trying to be an "Audi apologist", just trying to say that it seems perfect for me and is worth it.
