Just recently noticed that my maps were not using Google Earth. After selecting the option again for map display my map view gets stuck at "Checking License..." Did a search and noticed new Q7 owners were also experiencing this issue with Audi Connect. But it seems they never got a solution.

The Audi Connect screen is also stuck at "Please Wait." Tried a factory reset of my settings and that didn't fix it.

Anyone else experiencing this?

I may have solved my own issues, but won't know until I get back into my car after work.

When I received the car the dealer never set me up with Audi Connect like they did for my previous A5. I thought nothing of it since everything was working.

Looks like I never activated my free 6-month trial of Audi Connect for the A4. I don't know how Google Earth and other Audi Connect features were working for the past month.

I just registered my car from the Audi Connect site and activated my free 6-month subscription. Let's see if this fixes things later.

Just wanted to report back that activating my 6-month trial of Audi Connect fixed everything. Still strange I was running without a subscription for a month.

You will have some functions active automatically even if your trial wasn't previously set up. That's why it partially worked.
