Default Best travel mug for new B9

Just picked up my newly ordered B9 after trading in my very faithful 2011 A4. I remember the concern of the day with the 2011 and the placement of the cup holders near the MMI controls with spills and also the interference with the manual shifter when a cup was in place.

Now, with the 2017, the issue seems to be the interference of a tall, Contigo-style mug with the forward dash.

Has anyone found a good travel style mug that works well with the new design?

By the way, love the new car! Much improved in just about every way over the 2011.

I will update profile and post new pics soon.

Thanks,

Mike

The smaller 20 oz. YETI rambler tumbler works perfect.

+1 on the 20 oz YETI. I always have mine with me, and I took it with me on a recent test ride. It fit well in both sides, and didn't affect the switches in front of it, even if I pushed on it. It seemed tight at first, I thought it was a no-go, but it was the little spring loaded fingers that I had to get past. I think my wife is going to get one of the aluminum Audi mugs in the showroom - 12 oz are so - they're a little slimmer than the YETI and will probably fit a little easier.

I snickered the whole time I was writing. Glad it wasn't just me.

Just picked up the biggest travel mug that fits both in the cup holder and door pocket (remove any liquids before having it in the door, or leave the liquid and make your day more interesting)
The mug is the High-Polished Stainless Steel & Ceramic Tumbler, 12 fl oz from Starbucks.
it's the only one i could find that goes best with the black and steel interior, also is just short enough to allow you access all the bottom controls.
Here's a few images if interested..

Fits pretty perfect, maybe a 16oz would give you a little bit more room to see the buttons but I'll be putting mine on the passenger side since there really isn't any buttons I'll be using over there. I'll be using the drive select quite a bit I think. Maybe, who knows.
