Default Issue connecting to A4 wifi

I'm trying to connect my iPhone to my 2017 A4 so I can use the MMI media center rather than CarPlay, which keeps crashing. The car's hotspot is on and I get to the screen where it says to connect my phone and displays the hotspot password. I attempt to connect to the network with my phone but it just hangs and never actually connects.

Anyone successful with this yet?

I haven't had any issues connecting to the wifi but you just need to pair it with Bluetooth for the mmi media to work.

There is also a wifi media connection that you can use in the a4.

I had to use a different password than I would have used, because I couldn't get my phone to connect to the hotspot until I changed it. It would connect, and then immediately disconnect. Try something else for the password.

That's the exact behavior I'm seeing - I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the tip.

Still no go. I changed the car's hotspot password and tried to connect, and it seems like it wants to work, but after connecting I'm taken to the My Audi login page. I log in with my correct credentials there and then immediately lose connection to the wifi in the car. Baffling.

Yep, I've now tried with a couple of other devices (laptop, iPad) and same thing. It connects, then takes me to the My Audi login page, I log in, and then it immediately disconnects. Frustrating.

You might try calling the Audi 800 number. They have people who help with technology questions.
